Scorching heatwave raises electric load to 3,210 MW

AMMAN — Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported that the blazing heatwave that is sweeping most parts of the Kingdom has pushed the electric load on Wednesday evening to 3,210 megawatts (MW), compared to the morning load of 3,100 MW, according to data released on Thursday by the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO).اضافة اعلان

Data shows that the maximum power load registered in 2020 was 3,630 MW, increasing by 7.4 percent compared to 2019 (3,380 MW).

NEPCO is expecting the load to continue to rise during the summer and reach around 3,700 MW.
