Safadi: Netanyahu’s Extremist Statements Pose a Serious Threat to International Peace and Security
Speaker of the House of Representatives Ahmed Al-Safadi said that the recent remarks by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding what he called the illusion of a “Greater Israel vision” constitute a blatant threat to the sovereignty of states, a flagrant violation of international law, and are part of extremist and aggressive agendas aimed at pushing the region to the brink, posing an unprecedented danger to international peace and security.اضافة اعلان

In a statement on behalf of the House of Representatives, Al-Safadi stressed that Netanyahu’s statements are merely part of a destructive, inciteful agenda designed to fuel conflict and violence in a time when the peoples of the region need peace, justice, and dignity.

He noted that these remarks represent a desperate attempt to deflect from the mounting international outrage over the heinous crimes committed against the people of Gaza, amid growing global awareness of the unprecedented violations taking place and increasing recognition by world states of the State of Palestine—clear indications of the rejection of the hardline extremists’ agenda in Israel.

The Speaker affirmed that Jordanians stand united behind His Majesty King Abdullah II, a symbol of determination and strength, and behind the brave armed forces and security agencies to protect the nation’s interests and defend its land against any malicious extremist schemes.

He added that Jordan will always remain the first and most faithful supporter of Palestine, continuing all efforts to stop the massacres and the brutal war in Gaza, and to ensure the Palestinian people attain their full legitimate rights on their national soil—foremost among them, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.

Al-Safadi called on international parliaments and the global community to assume their historic responsibilities, act immediately to halt Israeli escalation, and make it clear that the continuation of occupation and aggression will only lead to more chaos. He urged international decision-making centers to take strong, clear positions rejecting such statements and to restore matters to their proper course through support for peaceful solutions that safeguard peoples’ rights and ensure regional stability.

He emphasized that “peace is not built on threats and aggression,” noting that the hardline extremists in Israel will fail in achieving their radical agenda, which will bring neither security to them nor to the region. He called on the international community to draw the right lessons and take the correct steps in this regard, stressing that Jordan—under its leadership, with its army, and with its great people—will remain at the forefront in defending the rights of the Palestinian people and steadfast in protecting the stability, borders, and sacred soil of the homeland.
