A responsible military source in the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army stated that the Northern Military Region on Friday thwarted an attempt to smuggle a quantity of narcotics using a drone on the northern border, within its area of responsibility.

The source added that Border Guard forces in the Northern Military Region detected and tracked the drone. Rules of engagement were applied, and its payload was intercepted and dropped inside Jordanian territory. The seized materials were handed over to the relevant authorities.
The source affirmed that the Jordanian Armed Forces will continue to deal firmly and decisively with any threats along the Kingdom’s borders to safeguard the security and stability of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
