AMMAN - The Social Security Corporation (
SSC) warned against some external parties that impersonating its employees by calling a subscriber at the corporation over the phone and informing them that they have dues or financial refunds from the institution.

The SSC, in a statement on Friday, said that the imposter phoned the subscriber telling him to send his (IBAN) and he will get a text message from the corporation that include receiving his IBAN.
It added that after the phone conversation the imposter asks the subscriber to pay an amount of money via his e-wallet to transfer the dues or the refunds for the subscriber.
The real process, the statement stressed, is only through the electronic payment service via the organization's account and not an electronic account or personal accounts for individuals.
The statement urged all the subscribers to apply via its official website www.ssc.gov.jo or by calling its contact center (117117).
