Royal initiatives: Issawi inaugurates number of projects in Irbid

Irbid — Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal Initiatives, on Saturday inaugurated in northern Irbid Governorate, a number of projects that were carried out in implementation the King's directives expressed during his meetings with dignitaries of the governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

The inaugurated projects included five sports stadiums in the governorate's regions of Yabla, Ibdir and Al-Sila, a multi-purpose hall in Hebras area in Bani Kinanah district, and a sports stadium in the Wadi Zabadah neighborhood.

Issawi stressed the King's continued keenness to accelerate the pace of development in local communities, which would contribute to improving the citizens' living quality and raising the level of services provided to them, according to Petra.

The projects implemented through Royal initiatives reflect the King's vision, which brings the citizen to forefront of his priorities aimed to secure a "better life" for Jordanians, Issawi said.

Royal Initiatives, he said, constitute "a success story and a model for integrated development work" by meeting citizens' needs, he noted that these inaugurated projects, which are implemented according to a comprehensive plan and in cooperation and partnership with the concerned government agencies and civil society institutions, seek to build societies that are economically and developmentally independent.

This process by responds to the real needs of communities and target groups, to empower and enhance their role in the development process, according to Issawi.

For his part, Minister of Social Development and acting youth minister Ayman Mufleh said youth are at the forefront of His Majesty's priorities, as his directives to launch initiatives always seek to empower the young people and invest their energies in the "best" way.

The sports stadiums that have been inaugurated today in Irbid Governorate will give youth the opportunity to practice various sports in a "sound and healthy" environment and develop their talents and creativity, according to Mufleh.
