AMMAN — The
Royal Committee for the
Modernization of the Political System will hold a meeting on Sunday for all 92
members to discuss the sub committees’ recommendations, according to the committee's
spokesperson Mohannad Mubaydeen.

Mubaydeen added that the political parties
subcommittee approved four recommendations to the standing political parties
law, according to Al-Ghad news. One such agreement was on the definition of a
political party, which will be incorporated into the
new political parties bill
set to be introduced by the committee.
Furthermore, the committee on empowering youth agreed to reduce the required
minimum age of parliamentary candidates. Mohammad Abu Rumman, head of the
committee stated that "there must a clear vision as to how we can empower
and further the role of the youth."
