Rise in temps forecast today before drops on Monday, Tuesday

AMMAN — A slight rise in temperatures today is expected to bring relatively hot weather across the Kingdom before dipping by 3 to 4°C on Monday and again on Tuesday, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.اضافة اعلان

Sunny and hot weather is expected to prevail across the Kingdom on Sunday with temperatures reaching a high of 33°C during the day and a low of 19°C at night in Amman. Temperatures will see a scorching 41°C in Aqaba during the day, dipping to 26°C at night. 

On Monday, temperatures will dip by a few degrees, and the weather is expected to be fair. Temperatures in Amman and across the highlands and plains are expected to range between 29°C during the day and 16°C at night.

In the city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter, with mercury levels reaching a high of 38°C during the daytime and dropping to 24°C night.

A further dip in mercury is forecast for Tuesday, bringing moderate temperatures with a high of 28°C and a low of 15°C in Amman. In the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, the JMD forecasts relatively hot conditions with highs of 36°C and lows of 23°C, with moderate to active winds.
