Royal committee to discuss new political parties law today

AMMAN — The political party subcommittee of the Royal Committee for Modernizing the Political System on Monday discussed key mandating reasons for a new party law that institutionalizes the role of political parties in protecting the democratic process and creating positive public attitude towards it. The head of the subcommittee, Adnan Sawair, told Al-Ghad after the meeting that the proposed law will be discussed by the Royal committee today. Among the key mandating reasons discussed on Monday, according to Sawair, is establishing a law that enhances the partisan climate, working on reducing constrictions for the licensing of political parties, and encouraging parties to “integrate”.
