The Ministry added that some locations will be handled as part of a comprehensive plan that takes risk factors and priority levels into account.
It noted that costs have not yet been fully calculated, as some works were assigned to contractors while others were carried out by the Ministry’s own staff and equipment.
The Ministry emphasized that it is continuing to implement its precautionary winter plan, which includes raising the readiness of technical and field teams, activating emergency operations rooms around the clock, monitoring rainwater drainage channels, culverts, and main roads, as well as maintaining ongoing coordination with relevant authorities to ensure a rapid response to any emergency.
Meanwhile, Minister of Public Works and Housing Maher Abu Al-Samen conducted an extensive field tour on Tuesday, covering a number of key work sites in the Dead Sea area and Karak Governorate, to follow up on progress in projects addressing flood damage, protecting water facilities, and developing the main road network.
