The Director of Public Security, Major General Dr. Obeidallah Al-Maaytah, chaired an expanded security meeting attended by his deputies and senior officers of the Directorate. During the meeting, he conveyed the greetings, appreciation, and confidence of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to all Public Security personnel, in recognition of their exceptional and continuous efforts in maintaining security and safeguarding stability around the clock.

Major General Al-Maaytah affirmed that the Royal directives represent the firm approach and guiding compass for continuing work and dedication, and for enhancing the level of security services provided to citizens through the integration of efforts among the Directorate’s various formations and units, in a manner that strengthens the rule of law and reinforces the foundations of security and stability.
He directed the activation of the security and traffic plans prepared for the holy month of Ramadan, to address firmly and efficiently any criminal manifestations or negative behaviors that may emerge during the month, such as theft, pickpocketing, begging, and fights. He emphasized intensifying field monitoring and strengthening security deployment across various regions.
He also stressed the implementation of comprehensive traffic plans to reduce congestion, prevent encroachments on roads, and ensure smooth traffic flow, particularly in markets, public places, and around places of worship, in order to provide a safe and comfortable environment for citizens.
The Director of Public Security further underscored the importance of delivering optimal security and traffic services, facilitating matters for citizens, and ensuring their protection. He highlighted the need to mobilize all capabilities of the Civil Defense Directorate and maintain full readiness to respond immediately to any emergency, while activating supportive and joint plans with other formations to ensure the highest levels of preparedness throughout the holy month.
