AMMAN — Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Wajih Owais said
on Monday that the ministry's decision to amend school hours during Ramadan
does not include private schools with foreign programs, according to Al-Mamlaka
TV.
Owais
said that government schools, UNRWA schools, and regular private schools are
included in the decision, but it does not include private schools with foreign
programs.
The Ministry of Education decided on Monday to amend school hours during Ramadan.
Students will start their morning classes at 9am, and their afternoon classes
at 12:30pm.
The
decision came, according to Owais, in light of feedback from citizens, the
altered work hours for public sector employees, and the requirements of the
public interest.
