Positivity rate stands at 19.54 percent — COVID-19

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 6,951 new COVID-19 cases and 11 new deaths on Sunday, bringing the total death toll to 13,073 and the total number of cases to 1,141,048.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 3,284 cases, while Zarqa recorded 792 cases. Irbid registered 937 cases, Balqa 394 cases, Karak recorded 341 cases, Jerash recorded 277 cases, and Tafileh recorded 38 cases. Madaba registered 253 cases, Aqaba 128, Ramtha 58, and Ajloun 176.

The ministry said in a statement that 70 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 129 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 45,768 according to the ministry. Out of 35,576 COVID-19 tests conducted Sunday, 19.54 percent of them came back positive.
