AMMAN — The period to issue new electricity bills under the gov't subsidized tariff is extended until June 7, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Dr. Saleh Kharabsheh, announced on Wednesday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

In a press statement, he referred to the possibility of issuing a new subsidized bill for eligible electricity subscribers due to their failure to register on the gov't platform designed for this purpose.

To issue new subsidized bills, he advised electricity subscribers to visit service offices of the Electricity Distribution Company (EDCO) countrywide.

The minister also urged the targeted subsidy categories to register on the gov't platform for Jordanians, temporary passport holders, and people of the Gaza Strip residing in the Kingdom.

Kharabsheh had previously announced the possibility of issuing new bills, according to the subsidized tariff, after registering on the platform until the end of last May.
