Nine new Covid deaths, 870 new cases

AMMAN — Nine deaths from COVID-19 and 870 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. The total death toll stands at 10,633, while the total number of cases reported since the start of the pandemic reached 815,550, according to the Ministry of Health, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.اضافة اعلان

The Health Ministry said in a press statement Tuesday that 3.1 percent of the 27,300 tests conducted yesterday came back positive.

Seventy-six people recovered and were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, while 79 more were admitted to hospital, as the total number of COVID-19 patients receiving medical treatment in Jordanian hospitals hit 489.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom hovers around 12,200, the ministry added.

Around 792,700 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.
