Nine new COVID deaths, 1,072 new cases

AMMAN  — Jordan recorded 1,072 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, in addition to nine new deaths, bringing the total death toll to 10,811 and the total caseload to 833,471.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 479 cases, while Zarqa recorded 77 cases. Irbid registered 144 cases, Balqa 69 cases, Karak recorded 45, Jerash recorded 27 cases, and Tafileh recorded 19. Madaba registered 27 cases, Aqaba 73, and Ajloun 43.

The ministry added in a statement that some 34 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 67 were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 13,688 according to the Ministry of Health. Around 3.91 percent of the 27,452 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
