Al-Bataineh explained that Jordan’s fuel reserves for electricity generation are sufficient for at least 20 days, even if supplies from the Leviathan natural gas field—which provides a large portion of the country’s electricity generation needs—are halted.
He pointed out that sustainable alternatives have been activated since the temporary suspension of gas supplies, according to the Israeli Ministry of Energy. In the event of any emergency, these reserves can be increased through various supply chains.
Meanwhile, Israel and Iran continue exchanging air and missile strikes for the third consecutive day. The Israeli military is conducting attacks on various Iranian military and strategic targets, while the Iranian armed forces have declared that their response to Israel knows "no limits" after Israel "crossed all red lines," launching several waves of ballistic missiles targeting Israel.
Since early Friday, Israel has been carrying out a large-scale offensive against sites in Iran, which has responded with missile strikes on occupied territories.
