A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the Ministry of Labor on Tuesday between the Jordanian government and the Libyan Government of National Unity, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the field of labor.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the Jordanian government by Minister of Transport and Labor Nidal Al-Qatamin, and on behalf of the Libyan Government of National Unity by Minister of Labor Ali Al-Rida. The ceremony was attended by the Libyan Ambassador to the Kingdom, Mousa Deqali, the Ministry’s Secretary-General Abdul Halim Doujan, the Director General of the Vocational Training Corporation Ra'fat Al-Sawafin, and the ministry’s delegation.
Al-Qatamin highlighted the deep brotherly relations between the two countries, emphasizing Jordan's commitment to enhancing bilateral ties to serve their mutual interests.
He explained that the MoU aims to strengthen the framework of labor cooperation between the two nations and foster the exchange of expertise in employment, labor legislation, vocational training, trainer education, and career guidance.
Libyan Minister of Labor Ali Al-Rida reiterated the Libyan Government of National Unity's eagerness to expand partnership horizons with Jordan in the labor sector and to exchange institutional expertise.
He added that the agreement opens new doors for bilateral cooperation in vocational training, labor inspection, occupational health and safety, employment, and knowledge sharing between both sides.
Furthermore, Al-Qatamin briefed his Libyan counterpart and the visiting delegation on the Ministry of Labor's efforts to regulate the labor market and its employment initiatives, including the National Employment Program, the Productive Branches Initiative, and the National Employment Platform "Sajjil."
