The Ministry of Investment / Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Directorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Public Works and Housing, announced the launching of a Request for Qualification (RFQ) for experienced companies and consortia to participate in the Jaber Border Crossing development project. The project will be executed through a public-private partnership agreement under a (Design, Build, Finance, Operate, and Maintain) model.

The project aims to rehabilitate, develop, finance, operate, and maintain the Jaber Border Crossing, which connects the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with the Syrian Arab Republic, thereby enhancing its role as a regional commercial gateway and an integrated hub for border and logistical services.
Furthermore, the project seeks to elevate the efficiency of border operations, facilitate the movement of passengers and cargo, and increase the crossing's capacity to keep pace with the anticipated growth in regional trade and transport. This will contribute to boosting the competitiveness of the national economy and consolidating Jordan's position as a regional logistical hub.
