Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply detects 238 violations during Ramadan

AMMAN Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Supply has announced that 238 violations have been detected since the beginning of Ramadan, including 42 related to non-compliance with price ceilings. اضافة اعلان

According to the ministry, its teams have conducted 300 rounds of inspections since the beginning of Ramadan, covering approximately 4,000 visits, reported Al-Mamlaka TV.

Continued campaigns and follow-upThe ministry affirmed its commitment to intensive inspection campaigns in markets across various governorates and follow-up on complaints and observations received from citizens.

In a previous statement, the ministry explained that penalties for non-compliance with the specified price ceilings range from no less than JD1,000 to no more than JD3,000, or imprisonment for a period of not less than two months and not more than six months, or both penalties together.

The ministry also urged citizens to report market complaints to designated phone numbers.
