The ministry also encouraged participation in national campaigns for cleanliness and tree planting, and reporting any activities harmful to the environment. It emphasized its ongoing implementation of awareness and monitoring programs aimed at protecting natural resources and improving the quality of life across the Kingdom.
To facilitate citizen reporting, the ministry has set up a hotline (117119), WhatsApp contact numbers, and communication channels via all official ministry platforms and social media pages. These channels receive complaints and reports regarding environmental violations, including illegal dumping of waste, as part of the ministry’s executive program to reduce such practices.
Citizens can submit reports with photos or videos, which helps speed up verification, response, and legal action against violators in accordance with applicable environmental laws. Reports are accepted 24/7 with full confidentiality, highlighting the essential role of public participation in the success of the program, strengthening environmental oversight, and minimizing practices that harm the environment and public health.
