Hneifat said that the ministry cooperated with the National Employment and Training Company and the Vocational Training Foundation to complete training and rehabilitation programs for the youth in the agricultural sector, as part of a plan to hire local laborers rather than foreigners. He pointed out that a large number of youths are employed in the sector, and that they benefited from an interest-free loan financing package to establish pilot projects in fish farming, palm farming, and food industries.

The national sustainable agriculture plan seeks to develop the investment environment and partnerships with the private sector in a manner that is reflected on local communities, by creating jobs and reflecting the added value of communities in all governorates, he added.
