AMMAN — Minister of Agriculture Khaled Hneifat justified the signing of an agreement to increase the quantities of Jordanian agricultural produce exported to Israel, saying that “a meeting took place between Jordan and Israel, as requested by the Israeli side, with a view to prioritizing the import of agricultural products from Jordan”, according to Jo24.اضافة اعلان

Hneifat said that the meeting was held with the national interest in mind, and that the purpose is to increase Jordanian agricultural exports and the farmers’ income.

The ministry signed no agreement to provide produce to settlements, and “the results of the meeting were announced on the same day through official statements in various media outlets” said Hneifat, who added that Jordanian exports to Israel will not raise prices for Jordanian citizens.
