King Discusses Expanding Partnership with Head of Japan’s JICA
His Majesty King Abdullah II met on Monday in Tokyo with Akihiko Tanaka, President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), to discuss expanding the nearly 40-year partnership between Jordan and the agency.اضافة اعلان

The meeting addressed ongoing cooperation in water desalination, including the Aqaba-to-Amman Water Conveyance Project (National Water Carrier), as well as energy, tourism, and potential opportunities to broaden collaboration.

His Majesty praised the role of JICA and the Japanese government in strengthening development partnerships with Jordan across vital sectors.

The discussion also touched on humanitarian response efforts in Gaza and the agency’s humanitarian contributions in this regard.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Director of His Majesty’s Office Alaa Al-Batayinah, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Japan Nasser Shraideh.
