AMMAN — Director of the Jordan Meteorological Department, Raed Al-Khattab, on Monday said that June 21 will mark the summer solstice, or the longest day of the year.اضافة اعلان

The sun will rise at 5:31am and set at 7:45pm, totaling around 14 hours and 15 minutes of daylight. Nighttime will only last 9 hours, Khattab, told Al-Ghad news.

The summer solstice occurs twice a year, one for each hemisphere, when one of Earth’s poles are at their maximum tilt towards the Sun.
