The number of Jordanians departing the country for tourism purposes reached 904,811 during the first seven months of 2026, according to official data.
Preliminary official figures reviewed by Al Mamlaka showed that the number fell by 10.5% compared with the same period last year, when 1,010,602 Jordanians departed for tourism.
Monthly figures showed 161,709 departures in January, 104,051 in February, 99,153 in March, 70,237 in April, 127,851 in May, 143,064 in June, and 198,746 in July, bringing the seven-month total to 904,811.
According to the Central Bank of Jordan, tourism spending by Jordanians and residents during the first seven months of 2026 amounted to $1.1542 billion, down 7.5% compared with the same period last year.
