Jordan records 21,386 new COVID-19 cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 21,386 new COVID-19 cases and 17 new deaths on Friday, bringing the total death toll to 13,288 and the total number of cases to 1,301,492.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 10,471 cases, while Zarqa recorded 2,103 cases. Irbid registered 2,881 cases, Balqa 1,152 cases, Karak recorded 437 cases, Jerash recorded 685 cases, and Tafileh recorded 274 cases. Madaba registered 917 cases, Aqaba 727, Ramtha 390, and Ajloun 477.

The ministry said in a statement that 216 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 228 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 127,580 according to the ministry. Out of 74,731 COVID-19 tests conducted Friday, 28.62 percent of them came back positive.
