Jordan records 2,507 new COVID-19 cases today

AMMAN — The number of COVID-19 deaths recorded on Sunday reached 68, according to The Ministry of Health, while a total of 2,507 new cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, bringing the death toll to 8,246 and the caseload to 685,973.اضافة اعلان

Breaking down Sunday’s tally, the ministry said:

656 cases were recorded in Amman
477 in Irbid
313 in Zarqa
92 in Balqa
156 in Mafraq
127 in Jerash
142 in Karak
155 in Ajloun
79 in Madaba
131 in Aqaba
24 in Ma'an
155 in Tafilah

The ministry added in a statement that some 6,537 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 229 others were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 39,246, according to the ministry’s statement.

638,481 COVID-19 patients, including patients who had been self-isolating, have fully recovered so far.

Around 14.05 percent of the 17,846 COVID-19 tests that were conducted today came back positive.
