To commemorate this event, the Jordanian Labor Observatory called for removing obstacles to youth engagement in the labor market. It pointed out that several sectors suffer from significant deficiencies in decent working conditions, such as agriculture, construction, and textiles. This creates challenging circumstances for many young men and women seeking new jobs, pushing them to refrain from working in these sectors, Ammon News reported.

The theme for 2023 is "The Importance of Developing Youth Skills for the Green Economy in Achieving a Sustainable World." This theme aims to focus the international community's attention on youth issues and celebrate their potential as partners in the contemporary global society.

The General Assembly recommended organizing media activities to support this day as a means to raise awareness about the World Programme of Action for Youth. This program plays a vital role in youth development and focuses on strengthening national capacities in the field of youth.
