AMMAN —
Minister of Labor Nayef Al-Steitieh on Wednesday launched a program to qualify
middle management in government entities to assume leadership positions and
contribute to the development of the public sector, according to the Jordan
News Agency, Petra.

The Himma Program came in implementation of
His Majesty King Abdullah’s and HRH Crown Prince Hussein’s directives.
It is in line with the economic and
administrative modernization plans, which are meant to boost the performance of
various development sectors and provide top-grade services for Jordanians, the
minister said in a statement.
Steitieh stressed the importance of
efficiently drawing up job replacement plans according to the needs of institutions,
ministries, and their human resource plans.
The program is implemented in an interactive
and participatory manner that includes exercises and practical applications in
order to achieve the goals for which it was set, he said.
