Over the phone, the two ministers stressed the need to take effective international action to protect Palestinians from Israeli violations and attacks, noting that a return to stability requires an end to all Israeli infringements upon Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif and respect for Jerusalem’s historical, its legal status, and its holy sites.

According to a Foreign Ministry statement, the two ministers reiterated the Kingdom’s condemnation of illegal Israeli actions and warned of repercussions, should the occupation continue to attack Jerusalem’s holy sites and the Gaza strip, and evict the people of East Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.

During their phone call, which came in implementation of directives by the two countries’ leaders, the two ministers affirmed the continuation of dialogue and coordination between Jordan and Saudi, as well as cooperation on enhancing fraternal relations in various fields.

The two ministers went over developments in the region and stressed — ahead of the Arab League’s extraordinary ministerial meeting — the importance of activating joint Arab work in facing challenges.
