Under Sunday’s memorandum, the two universities will exchange students, faculty members, research activities and hold specialized training programs, in addition to launching joint alumni supervision.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Salem said JUST always seeks to strengthen its research partnerships with international universities to develop multiple-discipline programs, indicating that the university has a "distinguished" environment and infrastructure for scientific research in its several scientific centers.

JUST also has an "advanced" university hospital, active partners from the local community, and qualified faculty members, he noted.

Timmons lauded JUST's "distinguished" level and progress in international rankings, which match prestigious world universities.

Chairperson of Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission for Higher Education Institutions Dhafer Al-Sarayrah expressed pride in the "advanced" level of Jordanian academic institutions, pointing out that the Kingdom's education policy is "open" to international scientific and research centers.

Canadian Ambassador Donica Petit stressed the "deep-rooted, distinguished" Jordanian-Canadian relations in the various fields and at all levels.
