The Cabinet decided on Wednesday to amend the regulations for granting residency and Jordanian citizenship to investors, aiming to enhance opportunities for attracting and stimulating investment in the governorates, including special incentives for investing in the "Amra" City project.اضافة اعلان

Under the amendments, an investor in the "Amra" City project will be granted Jordanian citizenship if their investment volume reaches at least 1.5 million dinars across various economic activities, provided that real job opportunities are created for Jordanians according to the records of the Social Security Corporation.

The regulations stipulated that Jordanian citizenship will be granted to investors in the city with an investment volume of no less than 1.5 million dinars per investor, in all economic activities; provided they create real job opportunities for Jordanians according to the records of the Social Security Corporation.

Upon the actual start of the project's operations, the investor is granted a 4-month grace period to complete the required number of employees after actual operation, provided they are granted residency until actual operation and the completion of the required number of Jordanian employees. After meeting these conditions, the investor is granted a temporary Jordanian passport for 3 years, followed by a recommendation to grant them Jordanian citizenship after verifying commitment to the above conditions for 3 years.
