Following the conclusion of the fourth day of Eid al-Adha, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) has completed the removal of waste from the sacrificial animal sale and slaughter barns, transferring it to the Al-Ghabawi landfill for treatment after traders evacuated the livestock sites. GAM will now proceed to spray and sanitize these locations twice daily for a period of two weeks to ensure the restoration of the city's environmental and health conditions.

GAM confirmed that the total number of sacrificial animals slaughtered and processed within the nine approved sites, in addition to the Amman and Al-Madounah slaughterhouses, reached 40,000.
The municipality further explained that its machinery and personnel continuously carried out sanitation work throughout Eid al-Adha. The final days of Eid will include soil scraping and site cleaning by removing organic waste, followed by washing, spraying, and disinfecting these locations. These measures aim to protect public health and curb the spread of epidemics and insects.
