First Jordanian AI exhibition to launch this month

AMMAN — In a press conference held at the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship on Monday, SOFEX Jordan announced the launch of its first session of the Artificial Intelligence Exhibition and Conference for Defense Technology and Cyber Security would take place on October 27.اضافة اعلان

The conference and the exhibition will be held under the patronage of HRH Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah

The exhibition organizers said it would be one of the most artificial intelligence (AI) exhibitions in the region. They shared that the conference aims to bring together leading experts in defense technology and cybersecurity fields with decision-makers all in one place to discuss the most crucial developments in the field of AI and the challenges it faces.

They also stated that the exhibition and conference would happen every two years.

The exhibition will be divided into two parts, in-person and virtual, to allow the largest possible number of specialized international companies to participate. 

From his side, the minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Ahmad Hanandeh, expressed his pride in holding exhibitions specialized in technical fields and set to cover the latest developments of this field around the world.
 
Hanandeh shared that this is one of the first conferences of its kind and that he feels proud “especially because for the exhibitions first time in the Middle East, it will be held in Jordan.” 

Brig. Ayman Al-Batran, the general manager of SOFEX Jordan, said: “The first session of the Artificial Intelligence Conference and Exhibition for Defense Technology and Cyber Security represents an exciting new challenge SOFEX, one that highlights our insistence on pursuing work and expansion.” 

He added: “The exhibition will discuss artificial intelligence, defense technology, and cybersecurity, which is great because it allows us to represent the true image of Jordan as an incubator for business and investments in all its categories.” 

“Recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and its subsequent phase requires a considerable measure of joint effort and cooperation to advance economic sectors to support Jordan’s presence in the global arena. This exhibition highlights Jordan’s presence,” he said.

The Artificial Intelligence Conference and Exhibition for Defense Technology and Cyber Security will showcase the latest technologies and developments in the AI field. It aims to find robust solutions for daily operations in the defense sector, big data, data analysis and protection, cyber security, and other AI topics.

Participants in the exhibition will be present from 35 countries, along with 56 local and international companies. New projects, agreements, and contracts are expected to be announced during the conference, thus creating many investment opportunities and potential partnerships.
