AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation (SSC) said on Monday that 1,024 people had retired in January 2022, while the number stood at 1,930 in January 2021, a decline of 46.9 percent, according to Al Mamlaka TV.اضافة اعلان

The corporation said that 580 women benefited from maternity insurance in January 2022, at a total amount of JD612,000, compared to 535 beneficiaries in January 2021, for an amount of JD575,000, or an 8.4 percent increase.

The corporation also said that 8,471 beneficiaries received unemployment allowance in January 2022, for a total amount of JD2.4 million, while the number of beneficiaries stood at 30,214 in January 2021, for the amount of JD8,6 million, a decrease of 72 percent.

According to the corporation, there were 2,759 work injuries in January 2022, compared to 1,584 work injuries in January 2021, an increase of 74.2 percent.

The number of new contributors to the SCC, in the form of new subscribers, in January 2022 stood at 3,400, compared to 4,175 in January 2021, a decrease of 18.6 percent.

The number of nurseries benefiting from the corporation’s support program during January 2022 stood at 131, for a total amount of JD90,000, said the SSC.
