Ease in Jordan-Syrian travel restrictions spur interest

AMMAN — The Jordanian-Syrian border has seen an increase in travel movement was witnessed on after the Jordanian government decided to ease border restrictions with Syria, according to CNN Arabic. اضافة اعلان

Jordan has allowed 100 freight trucks to pass through the Jaber border crossing with Syria daily since the border reopened towards the end of September, according to Colonel Muayyad Al-Zoubi’s statement on CNN Arabic.

A decision from the Ministry of Interior on Sunday allowed Syrian tourist groups to enter the Kingdom after the tourism offices applied to the ministry, pledged that these groups would adhere to the pre-prepared tourist program, and the tourists kept their passports in the hands of tourist offices until they left the country. 

According to CNN Arabic, an increase in licensed international transport offices, including small vehicle travel offices, who travel to the Levant and other areas was evident after the announcement. 
 
Travelers must have a vaccination certificate and register on a platform if they stay in Syria for 10 days or more, CNN Arabic reported.
