The court also sentenced a female convict in the same case to 20 years in prison and temporary hard labor for assisting in the killing of the victim.

The crime rocked Jordanian society to its core when it was first reported.

Two years ago, the doctor convicted in the case lured the victim to his apartment as they had financial matters to settle between them.

The convict, with the help of his female accomplice, proceeded to kill the victim with a sharp object.

They then placed the body in a suitcase and loaded it up in the doctor’s car and drove to an isolated area in Madaba where they set fire to the body.

They then proceeded to cover the remains of the charred body with rocks to conceal their crime.

The doctor then returned to the occupied West Bank, where he hails from a village near Hebron, and claimed that the victim had swindled him and run off to Syria to join Daesh.

The body was soon discovered and DNA tests revealed the identity of the victim. Investigations soon led to the identification and apprehension of the two suspects.

It is worth noting that the crime resulted in the death of a 50-year-old ambulance paramedic who hails from a village near Hebron, that both victim and killer were friends, that they both worked for the Palestinian Red Crescent and that the killer worked as a doctor in the victim’s village in the occupied West Bank.

Both men are photographed together in front of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in a picture posted by the victim on his Facebook page.
