Cybersecurity center counters 800 attacks in 2021

AMMAN — The National Cybersecurity Center (NCSC) has addressed and countered around 800 attempted cyber attacks on state institutions in addition to vital sectors, most of which were external, according to its Director-General Ahmad Milhim.اضافة اعلان

His statements came during a Parliamentary Finance Committee meeting on Sunday, which discussed the center’s 2022 budget, according to Ad-Dustour News.

Addustour daily reported that the committee heard a detailed explanation of the center’s work and its JD22 million budget, presented by Milhim.

Milhim pointed out that the center was established to build, develop and organize an effective cybersecurity system at a national level to protect the Kingdom from cyberspace threats and to deal with them efficiently and effectively.

He added that this is done in order to ensure the sustainability of work, maintain a national security and enhance the confidence of national bodies, investors and individuals in Jordanian cyberspace.
