His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II met on Thursday with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba in Tokyo.
The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Prime Minister and expressed his pride in the strong and longstanding ties between Jordan and Japan, highlighting their shared commitment to promoting peace and prosperity in the region and the world.

His Royal Highness commended Japan’s efforts in organizing Expo 2025 Osaka and wished the country continued success across various fields.
Prime Minister Ishiba, in turn, praised the Jordanian pavilion at the Expo, noting its strong attendance and the unique experience it offers to visitors.
The Crown Prince also expressed appreciation for the Japan International Cooperation Agency’s (JICA) support of priority development projects in Jordan, particularly in the sectors of water and energy.
His Royal Highness discussed the initiatives and projects of the National Council for Future Technology, which was established to strengthen Jordan’s digital infrastructure, advanced technology, cybersecurity, and investment ecosystem.
The Japanese Prime Minister emphasized Jordan’s vital role in maintaining regional security and stability, and the importance of continued cooperation between the two nations.
Both sides underscored the need to push for a ceasefire in Gaza and the resumption of humanitarian aid delivery. The Crown Prince expressed appreciation for Japan’s support of the two-state solution and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, and Director of the Crown Prince’s Office, Zaid Al-Bakain.
