Cow breeders and fresh milk cooperative referred to Public Prosecutor

AMMAN — Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Youssef Al-Shamali referred the Cooperative Society of Cow Breeders and Fresh Milk Producers to the Public Prosecutor, according to Ammonnews.اضافة اعلان

Shamali took the decision based on the cooperative’s alleged violations of the provisions of Article (20/c) of the Competition Law No. 33 for 2004.

The Council of Ministers also decided to authorize the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply and the Minister of Agriculture to allow the import and possible use of powder milk in dairy industries, as well as to look into the prospect of importing live cows.  The move came in reaction to the cooperative’s recent decision to increase milk prices.
