COVID 19 positivity rate at 8.14%, 1,855 new cases

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,855 new COVID-19 cases and 16 new deaths on Saturday, bringing the total death toll to 11,347 and the total number of cases to 911,270.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 671 cases, while Zarqa recorded 190 cases. Irbid registered 382 cases, Balqa 74 cases, Karak recorded 62 cases, Jerash recorded 49 cases, and Tafileh recorded 24 cases. Madaba registered 62 cases, Aqaba 22, Ramtha 97, and Ajloun 104.

The ministry said in a statement that 79 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 138 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 37,563 according to the ministry. Out of 22,799 COVID-19 tests conducted Saturday 8.14 percent of them came back positive.
