1,692 new COVID-19 cases, seven new deaths

AMMAN — Jordan recorded 1,692 new COVID-19 cases and seven new deaths Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to 10,983 and the total number of cases to 856,450.اضافة اعلان

The Ministry of Health said that Amman recorded 553 cases, while Zarqa recorded 241 cases. Irbid registered 338 cases, Balqa 124 cases, Karak recorded 40, Jerash recorded 19 cases, and Tafileh recorded 34. Madaba registered 33 cases, Aqaba 76, and Ajloun 60.

The ministry said in a statement that around 55 hospitalized COVID-19 patients had recovered and were discharged from hospitals, while 74 new patients were admitted.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Kingdom stands at around 19,195 according to the ministry. Around 4.71 percent of the 35,920 COVID-19 tests conducted Wednesday came back positive.
