AMMAN — Last week, the Police and Civil Defense Department (CDD) dealt with two suicide
attempts, while the death of a young man, whose body was found in his
apartment, was assumed a suicide.
The authorities also dealt with one case of armed robbery, a
fire, and a number of traffic accidents, which resulted in several injuries and
casualties.
The armed robbery targeted a currency exchange shop in the capital,
where the culprit stole JD2,500 at gunpoint. The thief’s identity remains
unknown.
CDD personnel put out a fire in Mafraq, which erupted in an
outdoor field where cardboard boxes and plastic containers were being kept. The
incident did not result in any injuries or casualties.
