Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Al-Safadi, emphasized that maintaining the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip is a shared priority for both Jordan and the Netherlands. He stressed the need to deliver more humanitarian aid to the enclave to alleviate civilian suffering.

Al-Safadi made the remarks during a joint press conference with Dutch Foreign Minister David Van Vihl in Amman, noting that Jordan continues to work with international partners to end the war in Gaza and ensure effective and safe delivery of aid.
Regarding bilateral relations, Al-Safadi highlighted the ongoing development in Jordan-Netherlands ties, mentioning that the Netherlands is Jordan’s largest European importer and that cooperation spans education, tourism, and trade, reflecting the depth of the partnership.
He added that the meeting with his Dutch counterpart aims to expand cooperation across various sectors, strengthen the existing partnership, and open new avenues for collaboration, alongside joint efforts to enhance regional security and stability.
Al-Safadi also underscored the Netherlands’ significant role in supporting development projects in Jordan, stressing the importance of continuing this cooperation to achieve mutual interests and sustainable development.
