AMMAN – On Tuesday, the
Anti-Narcotics Department (AND)
arrested five wanted drug dealers, one of whom was classified as dangerous, in
the central Badia region, according to a statement issued by the
Public Security Directorate (PSD).

The spokesman for the PSD, Col. Amer Al-Sartawi, announced
that after collecting intelligence about wanted and suspicious individuals and
identifying their criminal activities and locations, the AND carried out a
security campaign on those sites, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
He confirmed that the campaign and raids carried out led to
the arrest of 5 people, the most prominent of whom was a person classified as
dangerous and was found in possession of 27,000 narcotic pills and 90 bags of
hashish. They also arrested another drug dealer who was found in possession of
10 bags of hashish and two firearms.
The anti-narcotics teams also dealt with
several arrests in
various regions of Jordan.
In Amman, the AND raided and arrested a drug dealer after
being found in possession of 39,000 narcotic pills
Another 33,000
narcotic pills were seized in another case in
Ma’an.
In the Mafraq governorate, two drug dealers were arrested.
The first was found in possession of 13 bags of hashish, while the second had
eight bags.
In the Balqa Governorate, a marijuana farm operation was
thwarted. The dealer was arrested and the marijuana plants were seized.
