Tourism sector specialists previously emphasized to Al-Mamlaka the importance of supporting domestic tourism in light of the decline in Jordanians traveling abroad.

They stressed the need to provide suitable tourism infrastructure to encourage locals to explore domestic destinations, alongside expanding the “Our Jordan is Paradise” program to include new tourist sites, featuring hotels of varying categories and affordable options, as well as offering special deals for Jordanian tourists.

Earlier, the Association of Travel and Tourism Agents told Al-Mamlaka that Jordanians’ preferred destinations include cities in Turkey (Antalya, Trabzon, Istanbul) as well as Egypt, particularly Sharm El-Sheikh.
