Drones attacked Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, on Wednesday, causing explosions, according to a military source and eyewitnesses.

The military source confirmed that “our air defenses shot down most of the drones. Ten of them, however, carried out suicide attacks on the Sarqab and Khalid ibn al-Walid camps north of Omdurman.”اضافة اعلان

Eyewitnesses in Omdurman reported seeing drones flying over the city since the early hours of the morning and hearing loud explosions from the north.

One resident said, “The flying and explosions continued from 2 a.m. local time until 5 a.m.”

On Tuesday, drones struck Khartoum, killing two members of the “Sudan Shield,” according to the armed group allied with the army.

Last month, drones belonging to the Rapid Support Forces targeted army sites and vital facilities.

The army has controlled Khartoum since May, after ousting the Rapid Support Forces, which had controlled large areas of the capital during the early stages of the conflict.

The war between the army and the Rapid Support Forces began in April 2023, resulting in tens of thousands of deaths, the displacement of more than 13 million people, and the division of the country into zones of influence controlled by the two sides.
