Jordan bags 5 medals in Beirut tournament

AMMAN — The national taekwondo team won five medals (one gold, one silver, three bronze) at the two-star Beirut Open Championship, which featured 260 male and female athletes.اضافة اعلان

Jordan’s Zaid Al-Halawani won the gold medal, and Saleh Al-Sharbati won the silver one, after the coaches pulled him out of the the final match, while the players: Mahmoud Al-Tarayrah, Natalie Al-Hamidi and Rama Abul Rub, each won a bronze medal.

The national team have recently completed their run in the four-star Asian Championship, held in Lebanon, winning four medals (two golds, one silver, one bronze), with Saleh Al-Sharbati and Juliana Al-Sadeq winning two golds in their respective weight classes, Zaid Al-Halawani winning the silver, and Zaid Mustafa winning the bronze.
