Amman — The first round of the 22nd edition of the Arab women's Basketball Championship, held at Shabab Al-Fuheis club, will resume on Thursday with Beirut Club playing Orthodox at 5pm, followed by the showdown between Shabab Al-Fuheis and Al-Thawra.
Syrian team Al-Thawra is at the top of the scoreboard with 6 points from three consecutive wins, followed by Lebanese club Beirut, Shabab Al-Fuheis, Orthodox, and the Qatari Women Sport club in second place, with the four teams sharing the same number of points (3).
According to the tournament rules, which concludes on September 13, the leading team on the scoreboard will play the team ranked fourth and the second-ranked team will play the third-ranked in the semi-finals, with the two losers playing for the bronze medal and the two winners meeting in the final for the title.
