Al Nassr came from behind to defeat Al Taawoun 2-1 on Friday, in a match that saw Cristiano Ronaldo become the club’s all-time leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Taawoun took an early lead in the 11th minute when Yousef Al-Bahrawi unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area that struck the crossbar. Bassam Al-Hariji reacted quickly to the rebound and fired the ball into the net from close range.
Unlike their previous match against Al Ettifaq, when Al Nassr went into halftime trailing 2-1, Ange Postecoglou’s side equalized in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time. Samu Acosta fired a low shot from outside the box into the net to level the score.
Five minutes into the second half, Ronaldo put Al Nassr ahead after redirecting Mohamed Simakan’s close-range effort into the net.
The goal took Ronaldo’s tally for Al Nassr to 104 goals, making him the club’s all-time leading scorer in the Saudi Pro League.
The victory gave Al Nassr a perfect record after four rounds, leaving them top of the table with 12 points, while Al Taawoun remained on two points in 15th place.
